Serving Those Who Served
Ivory Crest Care is located in Loma Linda, California — home to the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, one of the largest VA medical centers in the country. For veterans who receive ongoing VA medical care, our location means their doctors, specialists, and support network are never more than minutes away.
We are a California DSS-licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) with a maximum of 6 residents. For veterans accustomed to the bonds of close community, our intimate home environment feels familiar — a small, tight-knit group where every person is known, valued, and cared for.
We accept VA Aid & Attendance benefits and work closely with families to ensure veterans receive every dollar of support they have earned through their service.
Veterans with service-connected respiratory conditions — including exposure-related lung disease, sleep apnea, and COPD — benefit from an additional layer of oversight at Ivory Crest Care. Our owner and administrator is a California-licensed Respiratory Therapist who understands these conditions clinically. We communicate proactively with VA physicians and flag changes in residents' respiratory status with the language and knowledge that medical teams expect.

Collect: DD-214 (proof of military service), recent medical records documenting care needs, physician's statement of need (VA Form 21-2680 completed by doctor), financial records (assets, income, monthly expenses), marriage certificate or death certificate if surviving spouse.
File VA Form 21P-527EZ (Veterans Pension) online at va.gov or by mail to the VA Pension Intake Center. For the physician evaluation form (21-2680), your VA Loma Linda doctor or primary care physician can complete this — we can help coordinate.
VA benefit processing takes 3–6 months on average. You do not have to wait for approval to move in. Many families begin care at Ivory Crest Care while the application is pending, then apply Aid & Attendance payments retroactively once approved.
Important: The VA does not pay Ivory Crest Care directly. Aid & Attendance is paid directly to the veteran or surviving spouse as a monthly pension check, which is then used to pay for care. We work with families to make this transition smooth.
Maximizing Your Benefits

In some cases, veterans may be eligible for both Medi-Cal's Assisted Living Waiver (ALW) program and a VA basic pension simultaneously. We help families explore both pathways.
Veterans enrolled in IEHP (Inland Empire Health Plan) through Medi-Cal may qualify for additional covered services while also receiving Aid & Attendance. Our team can help families navigate both programs.
Benefit eligibility and combinations vary by individual circumstance. We recommend consulting with a VA-accredited claims agent or VSO for personalized guidance. Ivory Crest Care does not provide legal or financial advice.
